BA – Political Science

Department of Political Science was started in the year 1983. The department offers a three-year BA honours course under Mizoram University. Admission is generally done in accordance with the eligibility criteria fixed by the college. 

The department tries to inculcate disciplinary knowledge of the subject to its students. It also focuses on developing students’ ability to use study resources (including e-resources) and develop their academic writing and presentation skills. Students are trained to articulate their ideas while appreciating different perspectives and opinions. Discussions and debates are encouraged and valued both inside and outside classrooms.

Apart from teaching and conducting academic sessions, the faculty members of the department conduct and participate in international/national/state/department level seminars. They also devote their time towards personal counselling, conducting remedial coaching classes and mentoring of students.

The department has a small library with a good deal of books.

3. UGC sponsored National Seminar on Development Constraints in North East India, Govt. J. Buana College, Lunglei, Mizoram on 14^th to 15^th March, 2012.
4. UGC sponsored National Seminar on Health and Development in Rural NE India, Govt. J. Buana College, Lunglei, Mizoram on 25-26^th April, 2013
