Mr. Lalrotluanga, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Geography, has been appointed as the Vice Principal of Government J. Buana College with effect from 2 July 2025. He will undertake this role in addition to his current responsibilities. The Principal, faculty, administrative staff, and students extend their best wishes to him in this new capacity.
A Parents-Teachers Meet was held on 9 July 2025 at the college. The event provided a platform for open dialogue between faculty members and parents regarding students’ academic progress and overall development. Faculty members shared detailed feedback on students’ performance, attendance, college ERP app, and participation in extracurricular activities. Many parents also took the opportunity to express their appreciation and raise concerns, which were noted for further action. The meet concluded with refreshments and an informal interaction session to strengthen the partnership between home and college.
Dr. Lalnunpuia Sailo, Assistant Professor, participated in the Consultative Meeting on the Implementation of Internship, Project Work, and Community Outreach (IPC) in Undergraduate Programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, held on 8 July 2025 at the Department of Education Conference Hall, Mizoram University. The meeting was organised by the Examinations Department, Mizoram University, and brought together key academic stakeholders from affiliated colleges to deliberate on effective strategies for integrating experiential learning components into the undergraduate curriculum. Dr. Sailo’s participation contributed to discussions aimed at ensuring academic rigour, institutional preparedness, and alignment with national education objectives under the NEP 2020.

A Club Membership Drive was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 8 July 2025 at 2:30 PM in the Multipurpose Hall. The programme was chaired by Ms. Lalhmingthangi Fanai, Assistant Professor. During the event, faculty and student representatives from all 12 clubs delivered brief presentations highlighting the objectives, activities, and achievements of their respective organisations. Each club extended an open invitation to the student body to become active members and contribute to campus life. Following the presentations, students were given the opportunity to register for the clubs of their choice. The various clubs were: 1. Evangelical Union 2. ⁠Electoral Literacy Club 3. ⁠Yuva Tourism Club 4. ⁠Eco Club 5. ⁠Culture & Literacy Club 6. NSS 7. Youth Adventure Club 8. ⁠History Club 9. ⁠Music Club 10. ⁠NCC 11. Red Ribbon Club 12. ⁠Anti Tobacco & Drugs Awareness Club The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the students’ keen interest in extracurricular engagement. As part of the initiative, the Public Relations Cell also set up a merchandise stall at the venue, offering college-branded items such as varsity jackets, hoodies, and T-shirts at discounted rates. The programme concluded on a positive note, fostering a sense of community and encouraging holistic student development.
