Dr. Vanlalthlana, Hon’ble Minister, Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Mizoram, visited Government J. Buana College on 3 July 2024. He was accompanied by Pu Lalramliana Papuia, Hon’ble MLA, Lunglei South, Pu T. Lalhlimpuia, Hon’ble MLA, Lunglei West, and Pu V. Malsawmtluanga, Hon’ble MLA, Lunglei North.

Dr. Vanlalthlana and his entourage were received by the Principal Mr. Lallianzuala, senior faculty members, and student representatives. The Minister subsequently addressed a gathering of students, faculty, and staff in the Multipurpose Hall, where he emphasised the state government’s commitment to providing adequate numbers of faculty and staff, and acknowledged the college’s needs. He encouraged students to strive for academic excellence, pursue specialisation, and go beyond general education.

The distinguished guests were presented with the college varsity jackets and college mugs as a gesture of appreciation for their visit.

Following the address, the Minister and MLAs engaged in a meeting with the Principal and faculty over tea in the Faculty Common Room, where they discussed key issues pertinent to the college’s development.
