Ms. Lalthangmawii Chhangte, Associate Professor, assumed charge as Principal of the College on 12 June 2025. She succeeds Dr. Vanlalhlani Ralte, Associate Professor, who has stepped down from the position on personal grounds.
Ms. Chhangte had previously served as the Head of the Department of English where she demonstrated strong academic leadership and administrative acumen. The faculty, administrative staff, and students extend their best wishes to her and express confidence in her ability to lead the institution toward continued academic growth and institutional advancement.
Faculty members, administrative staff and students of the college participated in the observance of Green Mizoram Day on 11 June 2025. The theme for this year, “Plant Trees and Catch the Rain,” emphasised the importance of afforestation and rainwater conservation in combating environmental degradation.
As part of the observance, participants planted saplings along the Pialthleng Road and undertook a community clean-up drive by clearing weeds and overgrowth in the surrounding areas. The initiative reflected the institution’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community involvement.
NCC Cadets from the college took part in the Joint Class & Interaction programme held on 6 June 2025 at Lunglei Government College. The event was organised for cadets of the NCC 2Mizo Battalion. Cadets were taught the benefits of joining the NCC, followed by a fall-in programme.
Vanlalpekhlua from the Department of Public Administration was honoured as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025. The award was presented by Pi Lalrinpuii, Hon’ble Minister of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Mizoram.
